| Description | The text presents some part-outcomes of the project called “Age-limit of the criminal liability and the juvenile delinquency” which was realized by the Department of Criminal Law of the Faculty of Law (Masaryk University) in the year 2010. It is a criminological survey which aim was to find out the attitude of the judges and public prosecutors to the issue mentioned above as well as to some other important aspects regarding to the phenomenon of the juvenile delinquency. In more detail the causes of the juvenile delinquency and the actual socially pathologic phenomenon endangering children and juveniles are focused on. Key aspects of the current legal regulation (law No. 218/2003 Coll., on judiciary in the juvenile matters) were analyzed. The attitudes towards the nature of the sanctions imposed upon children and juveniles were gathered as well as the experience in its execution. The authors also concentrated on the attitudes to the need for some particular protection of children and juveniles within the procedure conducted against them. |
