Description Several authors consider swimming a favourite motor activity within all school grades (Bunc, 1996, Blahutková, 1998, Charvát, 2004, Hodaň, 2005 In Blahutková, Pacholík, 2006). For the people with disabilities can swimming pose a swimming therapy. The Halliwick method may represent a suitable means. It is a method focused at the handicapped. However, its usage is wider and it may be also used at healthy population with various problems (feelings of anxiozity, problems with contact with water, onerous movements in the water environment due to various reasons…). A student of Masaryk University implemented the project Without a wheelchair, afloat in 2008 – 2009 for students with disability of Masaryk university.
