Description Examining five research studies contained in a publication called The Research Process in the Classroom Discourse, the submitted review elucidates how theoretical background infuences the research process and its results. The same data corpus from biology classes then serves as a platform for five described and interpreted discourse analyses: analysis of lexical items, ethnomethodological conversational analysis, narrative analysis, disourse analysis, and analysis based on theories of practice.
