Description | Primary goal of building passport is gathering, maintaining and providing actual documentation of buildings describing buildings and rooms. Detail goal of technology passport is to handle data describing technologies in building the same way as in building passport. By choosing GIS for implementing graphic part of data warehouse, we have achieved possibility of generating map outputs using symbology depending on concrete way of their use and generating three-dimensional maps of buildings including all technologies located in these buildings. Map outputs can be used as themselves or they can be used as base layer for other data related to buildings in connected applications. Furthermore we can generate maps in different formats such as image, PDF or DWG for use in building management and maintenance. Our concept of building passport as a map allows connecting building and room data on basis of spatial context and generating maps for analyzing this data. Maps can also be generated for different time periods and used for tracking some phenomenon across the time. All employees of Masaryk University can use map outputs generated from passport data. Students can use building passport data for study purposes. Map outputs in web applications are hosted at https://gisweb.muni.cz/Pasport/ , http://gisweb.muni.cz/export/ and http://gisweb.muni.cz/TechnologickyPasport/ . Development methods: Building passport is based on decomposing building to elementary parts, which are: structures, apertures in structures and fills of apertures. By describing all elements with attributes of relative height we achieve, that from such data we can create 3D models of buildings in easy and automated way. Technology passport is based on register of all individual technology devices in GIS. Each device in database is binded to functionally superior device. This concept enables describing functional relations in context of all technology systems in building. |
