Description | The aim of this study was to use typing methods in the epidemiological investigation of human listeriosis. Typing was carried out in 30 human isolates obtained in 2008-2009 (first quarter). L. monocytogenes isolates were characterised by serotyping and macrorestriction analysis. Serotype 1/2a was predominant, serotypes 1/2b a 4b were detected sporadically. On the basis of macrorestriction analysis it was possible to identify 8 epidemiologically linked cases and the food source of the infection. |
