Description The book "Law and Passion. Language, Narrative, Interpretation" looks on the law from a rather unusual perspective of alternative methods. It examines the law as an environment in which human passions collide. It is the environment that is based on the control of these passions. Law therefore can not be understood purely as a tool but as a system whose elements can be interpreted in different ways. These methods are in classical jurisprudence not usual and well established. In these approaches is significant how the law operates, how it affects or how convinces his addressees. Therefore the largest part of this book takes up rather alternative approaches to how to describe and interpret law. When describing the relationship between art and law (literature or film) there are manifested unusual possibilities of legal interpretation. Involvement in the arts gives jurisprudence a different picture of the law: this picture is often critical and inspiring. Through employing these methods lawyers can reach new ways of how to handle the law.
