Description Lifestyle is one of the most important determinant affecting human health. The share of lifestyle on health status of the population accounts for roughly 50 %, of which the environment is assigned about 20% and health and genetic disposition of 15 %. Lifestyle change is no longer perceived solely as a personal matter, but as a goal whose achievement is jointly supported by individuals, statutory and voluntary organizations at all levels. National Human Development Report ranks SR lifestyle to a group of socio-economic determinants of health. Slovak legislation in the Law on the protection, promotion and development of public health and amending certain laws of 60/21/2007 No. 355/2007 statute, § 2, paragraph 1, letter i., defines lifestyle as "human behavior, which is based on the interaction of living conditions, personal characteristics, social factors and economic factors". Existing European health programs have also become an important starting point for Slovakia for the formation of national strategies. Priorities of the National Health Promotion Programme, in particular, increase physical activity, nutrition rehabilitation, promotion of non-smoking, drug prevention, education partnership, parenthood, and more. Strategies of Health for All by the year 2000 and subsequent Health for All in the 21st st. come to other programs, and focus on healthy lifestyles - The CINDI (Countrywide Integrated Noncommunicable Diseases Intervention Programme), The MONICA (Monitoring of Trends and Determinants in Cardiovascular Diseases), The "Healthy Cities", The "Health Promoting Schools" and others.
