Description Synoptic overview reassumes both lines of core topic: life course and strategy of research. Actual task is to design life span development theory together with allocation of resources of growth, resilience and coping with loses. Ongoing empirical researches point out how is this general concept tested in specific areas as cognitive processes, motoric and emotionality. Is life span developmental psychology special developmental psychology, is it general integrative ontogenetic concept or is it just one of orientations of curent developmental psychology? Arguments in current discussions are hinted. One of main pretension of Life span development theory is to allocate profile of biological and culture-based sources for growth, resilience and coping with losses. Pluralism seems to be general characteristic for changes of postmodernism in concepts of diversity. Number of papers, which refer to positive and also risk factors in lifespan development context, is increasing.
