Description | This text is focused on the social services for the elderly providing, in the concrete on the quality standards that could be an important instrument to apply the principles of active ageing to the practice. In the first part of text is briefly presented up-to-date demographical situation of Czech population as well as current country’s expenditure on social care of the aged and social services providing. In the second part are mentioned a basic national documents where the basics and principles of active ageing are expressed. In the next part is explained the concept of Czech Standards of quality in social services as well as are described the definitions of particular standards and their implementation to the practice. Before anything else are described standards of quality aimed to support the users’ participation on decision-making process and the users’ rights and empowerment. In the last part of the text are discussed the research result of longitudinal case study of community care service organization. Here are presented the opportunities and risks of changing the users role in the social service practice. |
