| Description | Large surges observed in the excretion of hydrogen on mercury electrode, is reduced in the presence of certain organic compounds that accelerate the excretion. This catalytic effect was observed in proteins. In our work we deal with determination of metallothionein, which belongs to a group of intracellular, low molecular weight and on cysteine very rich proteins (Cys content up to 30% in the protein molecule) with a molecular weight of 6 -10 kDa. |
