Description | The starting point of this study is to identify the tick prevalence and define the risk of tick-borne diseases for the inhabitants of Brno and its surroundings. Subsequently, two parks (Pisárky; Řečkovice) were selected for the purposes of further research. The presence of spirochetes was 1.0% in Pisárky and 5.4% in Řečkovice. PCR confirmed 4.1% infected ticks in Řeckovice. |
