Description | There are two italian translations of the book of fairy-tales of the Czech writer Karel Čapek, by Paula Ojetti (1938) and Luisa De Nardis (1994). Each of them are extreme examples of the domesticating and foreignizing translation respectively. On the examples from the cathegory of toponyms and anthroponyms we would like to to show which of these approaches suits better the requirement of equivalency developed by the modern translation theories. |
