• Description: Several standard ecotoxicological assays as well as chemical analyses were employed to preliminary analyze potential risks associated with highly contaminated sediments in the wastewater canal Vojlovica, Pančevo, Serbia. The results indicate need for thorough remediation actions to limit impacts on aquatic biota.
