Description | The beginning of the thermal maximum of the Miocene Climatic Optimum in Central Europe is documented by the presence of highly thermophilous snakes. The whole amphibian and reptile assemblages indicate different climatic development (temperatures/precipitation) between Central Paratethys and North Alpine Foreland Basin. |
