| Description | Main scope of the paper is to analyse factors, which influence ninth grade pupils in their choice of the secondary school. Contribution is a result of the research, which was undertaken on 4 basic schools in Znojmo in year 2010. Research was conducted using questionnaires, which also involved verification of the acuteness of the problem concerning the missing technical college as stated in the strategic documentation of the town. Acquired factors influencing pupils in their secondary school choice decision were subsequently compared to the regions requisites in accordance with its sustainability. Conclusions of the research pointed to the fact that the problem is not the missing technical college, but the discrepancy between the pupils view and the real problems of the region. |
