Description The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of rehabilitation in combination physiotherapy (as a possible proximal access) and occupational therapy (such as access to distal) in patients after stroke to 75 years of age. The pilot study evaluated a total of 16 patients with a mean age 63 years, we have divided into two groups. The first group (n = 8) had only prescribed physiotherapy, the second group (n = 8) was ordained a combination of physiotherapy and occupational therapy. To evaluate patients, we used the protocol Chedock-McMaster hemiplegia Assessment. The values of individual tests were obtained after admission and at discharge patients from DRO FNUSA in Brno. Wilcoxon paired test showed statistically significant differences at a significance level (p<0,01, p<0,02, p<0,05) between input and output data for the whole group of patients, but also substantial differences in individual files. The measured results of this study showed that the subsequent rehabilitation of patients after stroke in a possible combination of physiotherapy and occupational therapy targeted at hemiparetic upper limb in terms of proximal and distal access, plays an irreplaceable role in a comprehensive approach in patients after stroke.
