| Description | World geographic competition for pupils aged from 13-16 organized by the National Geographic Magazine was held in San Francisco in July 2011. The team competition consisted from three parts: written test, outdoor activity and final verbal quiz. The formulations of tasks signalize some kind of widening knowledge and action radius of the school geography, as well as its deepening integration with natural and human sciences. Such kind of co-operation is welcome very well at schools where geography can play the explanatory role for spatial-temporal events in the human environment. |
