Description | The changing role of terrain and other natural landscape components is demonstrated on examples of natural landscape maps. Inicially, the differences between azonal and zonal landscape structures are visualized as results of impact of local factors representing extreme nature components features and impact of gradually changed landscape features reflecting vertical climate zonation. Four map examples (on the same territory and its neighborhood) of natural landscape document the role of territory factors on landscape differentiation with regard to the cartographic resolution applied on topical, micro-, mezo- and macrochorical hierarchical level. On the local level (map scale 1:10 000), all the factors can play locally dominant differentiation role. On the microchoric level (map scale 1:50 000), original mixture small landforms was generalized into hetergenous landscape units. On mezochoric level (map scale 1:200 000), the landscape differentiation is based on large land forms combined with morphometric relief types. On the macrochoric level (map scale 1:750 000), the morphometric relief types with vertical climate zonation differentiate the natural landscape diversity. |
