| Description | Bacteria in natural environments show tendency to adhere tu various surfaces, where they form slimy layers called biofilms. Existence in biofilm form is for bacteria advantageous from many reasons and in most environments it is basic form of their occurrence. From this reason, the microbial biofilms are studied in many sectors (bio-corrosion, medicine, water supply, limnology etc.). The publication covers the most important knowledge about microbial biofilms in human medicine and natural environments. |
