| Description | The chapter describes the adaptations by Milada Motlová. Having dealt with various genres previously Motlová focused on folk fairy tale including well-known as well as half-forgotten topics. Out of a comparison of several texts by Milada Motlová with their originals the authoress' basic adaptation strategies developed being connected with the character of the source text - in classic adaptations by Erben and Němcová her adaptations concern especially the language level whereas in less known originals she chooses greater modifications of stories at the level of topic, too. |
