| Description | After defining the postmodern period, the author focuses on the current transformation of the social structure, especially the problems of the Czech social structure. Attention focuses primarily on social and economic aspects of aging, growth in education and professional changes that lead to the disappearance of certain professions vital to society. The paper concludes by discussing the growing inequality, in the words of Jan Keller incommensurability among different social classes and the possibilities of social mobility within the framework of social groups growing farther apart from each other as such. |
