| Description | The paper presents the events increasing pupils' interest in chemistry at elementary schools in Blansko district, namely "Heyrovsky Cup" "The Best Experiment" and the project "A Few Days with Chemistry." All the events are recommended for 8th year students. Based on our research, we can state pupils are fond of such competitions in chemistry which motivate them to participate in the Chemistry Olympiad, category D. For our research method we used design-based research. The main outcomes are specific examples of effective procedures for the motivation of pupils. |
