Description | Bone marrow microenvironment plays a key role in the process of haematopoiesis. It has a supportive function for quiescent haematopoietic stem cells located in so called niches. It provides appropriate conditions for haematopoietic stem cell differentiation and for the proliferation of blood elements. |
