| Description | Elective single embryo transfer (eSET) is a current policy established by the embryologists interested in a human assisted reproduction (AR). This policy considers mother’s and neonate’s health which are otherwise endangered by the high rate of a multiple pregnancy. However, pregnancy outcome after eSET procedure is below a desired value thus novel techniques are sought around to improve the election of the embryo with the highest implantation potential. Capillary electrophoresis used for the amino acid profiling of spent culture media provides additional information about an embryo viability, can be miniaturized onto a chip thus implementation in AR laboratories is feasible. Method development and discussion are subjects of this contribution. |
