Tematické a metodologické zaměření aktuálního výzkumu učení a vyučování cizím jazykům ve světě: Analýza studií z nejvýznamnějších časopisů

| Description | The chapter provides the analysis of thematical and methodological orientation of research and studies in the area of learning and teaching foreign, second and further languages; 4 important foreign periodicals in this field with impact factor bigger than 1 are analysed. 232 abstracts of studies from 2010 – 2011 published in the above periodicals were coded. Most authors came from the developing countries, the most frequently investigated language was English as a foreign language, experimental and relational research design predominated as well as testing as a research method and learners as the subjects of research. Smaller samples of about 100 cases seem to be typical. As regards the topics, the most frequently addressed ones include teaching, teaching methods, evaluation and ICT. The results are compared with the current research accents and perspectives in the Czech Republic. |
