Description | Restoration of decayed primary teeth is very important and significant not only for healthy development and psychics of the child but also for physiological development of the permanent dentition. The choice of restorative materials for primary teeth is large at the present time. Whereas the only possibility several years ago was amalgam, today there are various alternatives at dentist’s disposal. The aims of the study were to verify cytotolerance of dental materials used in paediatric dentistry and to evaluate the character of hybride layer after application of different dentinal adhesives in primary teeth. The relation between dentinal adhesives and enamel and the interface between GIC based materials and hard dental tissues was studied too. On the basis of the present study, the investigated materials can be recommended for primary teeth restoration. The findings should be useful to professionals in the field of pediatric dentistry. |
