Description | The aim of this study is to explore afterlife conceptions of people, who do not declare themselves as believers. They do not belong to any church, instead they have their own individual conception of the afterlife or transcendent, which supports subjectivization thesis. The research took place in Pilsen and the respondents were four females and one male, all of them older than forty. The interviews were semistructured and the main attention was focussed on their own imanigations of the afterlife. The results of this study – every respondent believes in a sort of energy, which can influence his life. The conceptions of the afterlife are different, mainly the idea of another incarnation. Two of the females described, that they will be something like ghosts, the other two will be humans again and one male has no conception of individual soul, so he will be a different form of energy. |
