Description The goal of this paper is to apply the Sequential Profile Discharge Measurement method for the evaluation of variability of groundwater flow in small drainage basins (area smaller than 10 km2). The basic assumption is that variability of the groundwater flow and the discharge in different parts of a basin depends on its geological environment. Due to this dependence, it is possible to recognize the influence of rock environment or tectonics on the value of specific groundwater flow in different parts of a basin. This assumption has been confirmed in the paper. The influence of lithology, regolith and tectonics on the formation of specific groundwater flow has been described. The map of variability of groundwater flow in the drainage sub - basins was created and parts of the basins with loss of water into the rock environment and those with
