Description | On 20 to 23 July 1955 appeared before the Regional Court in Brno eleven former members and officials of the CSSD. All were then found fully guilty of the offenses of treason, espionage, crime and failure to notify favoritism. The investigative and judicial writings of these defendants were referred to as "right-minded leaders of social democratic parties", or more frequently as a group of "dr. Křepelka et al. ' In addition to this process took place in 1955 before the Regional Court in Brno, a number of other processes with former members of the Czechoslovak Social Democratic Party, which was the communist putsch in February 1948 merged with the Communist Party and in effect destroyed. This wave of persecution of social democrats fell into the time the campaign against the "Social-Democracy", initiated after the June demonstrations in 1953. Within these processes were convicted of several hundred Social Democrats. This paper charts the lives and backgrounds of a regional political process, but it fits the context of a new wave of political trials in the years 1954-1955. Moreover, with the figure of Dr. Bohuslav Ečer, an internationally recognized expert, which had been head of the plot, but the trial did not live, getting a wider dimension. Trial with Brno Social Democrats have not handled any professional study, therefore, must be based primarily on archival materials.
