Description | This paper deals with the selected aspects of substantive criminal law in the European context, taking into consideration changes in the Third Pillar of EU and the impacts of Communitarisation of European law on substantive criminal law as a result of the Reform Treaty of Lisbon. The author focuses namely on the sytem of criminal law sanctions from this point of view. She sums up by stating that it is alwyas necessary to preserve the required for the application on national laws and to respect national specificities of individual Member States in the area of criminal punishments. |
