Description Informatics has received a particularly bad treatment in the Methodology for research evaluation as prepared by the governmental Council for Research, Development and Innovation. As far as Informatics as a discipline is concerned, elements of amateur bibliometry (Gläsel, Laudel, 2007) can easily be identified, especially when it comes to degree in which politicians' interests are served by producing a single number as a result. As far as innovations are concerned, model adopted misses every concept not fitting just selling program licences. in political proclamations, informatics is treated as an important discipline. When it comes to evaluation employed, the results show something else. The causes of such a gloomy state of things can be identified very precisely. Members of the Council as well as its Committee for evaluation knowingly discounted arguments contrary to their preconceptions. A comparison of established standards as well as progressive innovation development highlights the incompetency of governmenaal Council for Research, Development, and Innovation.
