Description | We have studied seal faeces collected in 2012 from wild living animals (Antarctic Fur Seal and Weddell Seal) in James Ross Island (Antarctica). Samples were fixed immediately on the Czech Antarctic Station of Johann Gregor Mendel. Standard parasite concentration methods were used. Sample of L. weddellii had diarrheal character. Infections are reported in eggs/parasites/cysts per gram of feces. |
