| Description | Paper presents new findings about relationships between monasteries in 18th century. Augustinian monastery in Brno, Benedictine monastery in Rajhrad and Premonstratensian Abbey Zábrdovice belonged to different religion orders. Nevertheless, these monasteries and their superiors were in close contacts. These contacts were possible due to geographical proximity mainly. Rajhrad monastery and abbey Zábrdovice entered confraternity at the beginning of 18th century. A little later, Rajhrad concluded confraternity also with Augustinian monastery in Brno. Monasteries cooperated in the spiritual realm (e.g. prayers for the dead brothers, funerals) and in the economic sphere primarily (mutual trades, borrowings etc.). Preserved correspondence shows that superiors of these convents were often in friendly relations. |
