| Description | The case of a young patient with rich travel history and nodular lesion of the left lung is presented. Chest X-ray finding and symptoms led us to suspicion of mycobacte-rial infection. However, histopathologic examination of the lesion showed Histoplasma capsulatum infection as the cause of the finding. Histoplasmosis is a rare infection in middle European region, and it commonly aífects patients with immunity disorders. The aim of this work is to show that in contemporary trend of traveling, we must consider also infections that are rare in our region while facing lung pathology. Cooperation with travel medicine specialist may be useful in the process of diagnosis. |
