What awards exist?
MU Rector's Award
The MU Rector's Award competition is announced annually in several categories for outstanding students and staff. The student awards are for outstanding students in doctoral and master's degree programmes, for an outstanding dissertation, for a significant sporting or artistic achievement, or for volunteering. Proposals for the awards are submitted by the heads of MU units, and the MU Rector decides on the winners.
Small Bronze Medal of MU
The small bronze medal of MU is a souvenir item intended for MU graduates with excellent grades, students, teachers and MU employees on important occasions or for foreign visitors, etc. Proposals for awarding medals are submitted to the Head of the Academic Affairs Department of the MU Rectorate.
MUNI Innovation Award
It is an award for students and employees of Masaryk University for their innovative achievements: for example, when their outputs have been successfully put into practice or they have helped to improve products or services or otherwise contributed to increasing the social relevance of Masaryk University research.
A maximum of 10 laureates (one from each faculty) will be selected to share the CZK 1,000,000 between them.

AS Student Chamber Award for Student Contributions to Teaching
The Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of MU Prize is awarded in three categories, namely in the field of natural sciences and medicine, in the field of social sciences and humanities, and in the field of economics and informatics. You as a student can make a nomination, as can heads of qualifying theses, course guarantors or heads of departments and institutes.

Minister of Education’s Award for Outstanding Students and Graduate Students in the Study Programme and for Extraordinary Acts
The prize is awarded by the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic to outstanding students of bachelor’s, master's or doctoral degree programmes for exceptional achievements in studies or in scientific, research, development and innovation, artistic creative activities or for an exceptional act demonstrating civic bravery, responsibility or dedication. Proposals are submitted by university rectors.

Czech Government Award for Gifted Students
The prize is announced by the Council for Research, Development and Innovation as an advisory body to the Government of the Czech Republic. The prize is awarded to high school or university students who have shown talent and interest in research or scientific work. The prize is awarded in order to promote research activities more widely and in an effort to attract young promising candidates for a future career as a scientist. The winners will receive a financial award along with the prize. Nominations for the competition can be submitted by individuals and legal entities.
