About us

The Student Club of the Department of Classical Studies is a student association devoted to breathing new life into studies of ancient history and seemingly dead languages in order to connect them with living ones. We wish to prove that fields of study taught at the Department of Classical Studies are relevant to today’s world, which appears to exclusively belong to economists, civil engineers and computer experts.

We try to achieve our goals by bringing together students across all disciplines and all years of study to participate in various activities such as matriculation, Saturnalia, commented film screenings and theatrical performances. As we are aware of the pitfalls of university studies, we also extend a helping hand to those who are less experienced, striving to make sure that the phrase docet et delectat remains true with respect to the studies at our department.
