About us

Filosofické divadlo follows on from the defunct Kočovná filosofická divadelní
společnost. In the spirit of our predecessor, we present original plays, the
intention of which is to convey provocative philosophical ideas in a humorous
form. At regular rehearsals, we not only prepare new performances but also
give our members the opportunity to improve their acting and expression skills
in interactive workshops. At the same time, we try to develop our own
philosophical abilities together by friendly discussion of the philosophical
content of the play and many other topics. In addition to the traditional
staging of our plays at the Faculty of Arts and the Buranteater, we also
regularly undertake trips to theatres and academic institutions outside of
Brno.
