microRNAs (miRNAs) are powerful regulators of gene expression. In human embryonic stem cells (hESCs), they have been directly linked to the maintenance of fundamental stem cell properties. However, the role of miRNA in self-renewal and differentiation of neural stem cells (NSCs) has not yet been sufficiently described, despite their importance in development and disease. Therefore, in our study, we aim to characterize the role of miRNA in NSCs’ specific phenotype.
