ArchaeoScience: advanced analytical methods for MA Archaeology study programme (ArchaeoScience)

Archaeology, limited to a very fragmentary source base, has always been open to new scientific and methodological approaches. The Department of Archaeology and Museology (DAM) has always been a pioneer in applying natural and hard sciences methods, new documentation methods, and modern computer technology. Specialized subjects, often taught on a broader regional scale only at the DAM, make the study program excellent. This is evidenced by the publication output of the department academics, the employment of graduates, and their publication results. The aim of the project is to deepen further and improve the teaching process towards excellent knowledge and skill to apply the most advanced scientific and archaeological approaches such as geophysics, genetics, petrography, isotope, and elemental analysis.
