Research shows that parental influence strongly shapes children’s economic preferences, especially regarding time and risk. Studies highlight correlations between parental and child risk tolerance, particularly in households with high involvement (Dohmen et al., 2012; Kosse & Pfeiffer, 2013). Yet, most studies focus on unilateral influence rather than examining joint decision-making within family contexts. The proposed experiment aims to address this gap by investigating parent-child joint decision-making related to risk. Parent-child pairs will face various risk-based decisions, allowing for a deeper understanding of how risk preferences are transmitted and how collaborative decision-making influences economic behaviors.
