Popis | The line of organic correlation has the reputation of being population-nonspecific method for stature estimation. The compliance of its parameter concordance among twelve world populations was tested and we found out that these parameters are statistically significantly different from each other. Therefore, estimations made using organic correlation do not necessarily have the declared accuracy. The smallest inter-population differences in parameters among populations were detected in the length of the humerus. On that account, a line of organic correlation of this measure with the stature was developed and its equation was introduced. Taking absence of more suitable equation into account, organic correlation is recommended by the authors to be used from now on. The length of the humerus is recommended to be used as a default variable. In the future it would be felicitous to try to find such a method of stature estimation, which would be truly population-nonspecific. |
