Popis | Interspecific hybridization has been documented in many cyprinid species. It was hypothesized that the hybrids have decrease in the efficiency of the defense mechanisms or conversely exhibit vigour due to the heterosis effect, which confers advantages to increased genetic diversity. This study will be focused on the analyses of selected immune parameters and the level of parasite infection (the intensity of infection of all metazoan parasites will be taken into account) in common bream (Abramis brama) and roach (Rutilus rutilus) and their respective hybrids from the selected population of Hamry reservoir (Czech Republic). The hybrids will be determined using morphological characters and molecular markers (mitochondrial – cyt b and nuclear – S7 and polymorphic microsatellite loci). The important part of this study is the analyses of the variability at functional MHC loci (i.e. DAB genes of MHC IIB in this study) involving in specific immune response because of their role in pathogen or parasite resistance. |
