| Popis | The paper is focused on the transfer of anthroponyms (names of human beings) into a new language environment, mainly from Russian to Czech and vice versa. In the first part of the text we give advice on how to deal with different types of names in different types of texts (journalistic texts, legal documents, fiction). The second part of the study deals with different types of anthroponyms, such as first names, surnames, name derivatives, aptronyms (so called nomen omen), Russian patronymics, names of famous people, names of mythological and Biblical characters, names of saints and monarchs. It gives some recommendations on how to transfer them and how to integrate them in the translated text correctly. |
