| Popis | This intervention entitled "The mosaic of the Albenga Baptistery between Milan and the Mediterranean, the circulation of ideas and materials" aimed to examine the mosaics that decorate the baptistery of a small portuary city, situated along an important Roman road, halfway between Milan and the centers of Provence. Crossing clues of various kinds - relics, architecture and iconographic, stylistic and technical aspects of the mosaics - I tried to understand where the ideas and materials that contributed to the creation of the only early Christian mosaic preserved today in Liguria came from. |
