Popis | This workshop intends to share successful CALT principles that have been implemented in EAP teaching and teacher training. It will present several creativity-related theories, such as organic system curriculum change (K. Robinson), system models (M. Csikszentmihalyi), lateral thinking (E. de Bono), divergent thinking (J.P. Guilford), or holistic approach to experiential programme development (B.Krouwel), and briefly introduce CALT action research from the 2009-2013 period. It will also offer a series of participative activities that encourage reflective analysis on both teaching practice and teaching methods. The session will focus on creative aspects of EAP teaching that help educators accept roles of facilitators, guides and language or skill expert advisors who share negotiated responsibilities with the rest of the learning community-of-practice; who establish a more flexible and dynamic learning environment; and who allow students to turn into natural, actively engaged, more individual and independent co-authors of their language learning. |
