| Popis | The international conference "Jurisprudence 2016" focused on current issues of jurisprudence, especially on the question of its nature as a (social) science (as “Rechtswissenschaft”) or at least as a part of the humanities. Although the discussions on the nature of jurisprudence are held continuously, the conference aimed to open the space for current questions in this field. The conference emphasized both general issues of legal science and relevant legal methodology. Specific topics that were discussed: The nature of jurisprudence and the general methodology of jurisprudence; Empirical methodology in jurisprudence; Narrative methodology in jurisprudence; Jurisprudence and humanities, especially literature studies, cultural studies, history, critical legal studies, philosophy, sociology and psychology. |
