Popis | Transformation to a carbon-free economy is an urgent process, if we are to limit climate change below 1,5°C temperature rise in comparison to pre-industrial levels. Traditional non-participatory modelling approaches have not been very successful in helping to achieve the goals of the transformation - their scenarios and recommendations have remained unanswered. We argue that participatory prospective modelling using expert judgements might overcome this barrier, and can help to find answers to a variety of questions regarding the feasibility of the transition, and it can also - if combined with quantitative analytical tools, such as input-output analysis - detect the expected impacts on the socioeconomic structure of the economy, namely employment. Our approach proposes to involve experts on renewable energy and possibly other stakeholders into the modelling process in form of interviews, participatory workshop and a survey regarding the technological change in the sector of renewable energy, as well as related policies that are assumed to affect the transition pathways. |
