Popis | The aim of this work was to compare and combine two different approaches to façades protection by self-cleaning mechanisms. The first one is based on creation of a superhydrophobic surface and prevention of water access to the surface, thereby limiting adhesion and growth of organisms, or the use of photocatalytic effect and photocatalytic degradation of attached organisms. We prepared 3 types of surfaces (superhydrophobic, photocatalytic active and combination of both mentioned) using commercial Ultra Ever Dry coating and titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles in anatase form. We investigated green microalgae Chlorella kessleri adhesion and viability on prepared surfaces. For this purpose, a new evaluation method was designed and tested. |
