Popis The polychaete Travisia forbesii found at the White Sea (Russia) is parasitized by three apicomplexan species. One of them belongs to order Agamococcidia and the rest two species to eugregarines of family Urosporidae. Agamococcidia is a small group of lower Apicomplexa, with a life cycle lacking merogony and true gametogony, which inhabit corals (1 named species) and polychaetes (5 named species). They develop intracellularly, but only for some of them ultrastructural and molecular-biological data are available. Urosporids represent a group of eugregarines highly diversified in ecological and morphological aspects. They are parasitized the wide range of invertebrates, inhabit different host biotopes and vary in the mode of movement and, consequently, in morphology.
