Semantic similarity of the Czech Supreme Court decisions

| Popis | The relevant court decisions research is a great part of work of every lawyer. In spite of the natural language processing methods that are available nowadays, this research is still mostly done manually or with the help of commercial legal information systems. In this study, it is experimentally investigated whether the Doc2Vec method with cosine similarity can automatically retrieve the Czech Supreme Court decisions dealing with the similar legal issue as a given decision. Furthermore, the limits and challenges of these methods and its application on the Czech court decisions is discussed. |
